In late 1987, my husband Roy and I were introduced to psychological type thru the works of Dr. Carl Jung. We recognized instantly the value and importance of type theory and set about learning everything we could.Because our backgrounds were business—Roy, an entrepreneur in the high tech community and me, office manager/administration for high-profile companies in southern California—we were frustrated that personality type was not readily available in an easy-to-use format. We felt the information in type would have greatly enhanced our business and personal lives.So, we decided to create a product, based on the breadth and strength of Jungian Type Theory, that was quick, easy to use and understand, and thus, The PEOPLE Process was born. We hired some consultants to work with us, and after six months and paying out a lot of money with nothing developed yet, we fired the consultants, rolled up our sleeves, and developed the package ourselves. Roy became MBTI® certified so that we were able to combine our own research with accepted and validated theory.In 1991, we were very fortunate to connect with the wonderful publisher/marketer Pfeiffer & Company out of San Diego, California, (at that time the leading training product publisher) and Mr. William Pfeiffer assisted us in marketing and distributing the package throughout the world.In 2003, I decided to become more involved on a daily basis with our products, and took back the marketing and publishing, designed a website, a newsletter and now this blog. I have over 35 years of professional business experience with emphasis on entrepreneurship, marketing and business communications. Additionally, I have directed training programs for a large number of Fortune 500 companies, the US Air Force, the Department of Energy, and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
